Perceivant Appoints Jason Konesco as President

INDIANAPOLIS

May 6, 2019

Perceivant, an education technology company that replaces traditional textbooks with cost-effective, interactive and data-driven learning experiences, today announces the appointment of Jason Konesco as President. This announcement comes on the heels of a successful fundraising round for Perceivant, which brings the company’s total funding to $3.75 million.

Konesco, who is the former CEO and co-founder of ClearScholar, joined Perceivant’s board of directors in June 2018. Now, as president, Konesco will lead Perceivant as the company aims to bring competitive, low-cost digital courseware to more colleges nationwide by partnering with more than 100 new universities in the next 2 years.

"We are very excited to expand our working relationship with Jason," said Brian Rowe, CEO and founder of Perceivant. "As a trailblazer in the education industry, Jason’s mindset and outstanding track record make him an invaluable asset to our vision of becoming the leader in the alternative textbook marketplace. We look forward to witnessing the incredible impact he will make as our new president.”

Konesco’s background includes nearly two decades of experience in higher education holding a variety of administrative roles, including president and CEO. He also brings experience in education technology and student engagement from his time at ClearScholar, a student engagement platform for higher education, prior to its acquisition by Civitas Learning.

Konesco holds an MBA from Butler University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from The University of Notre Dame. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Cathedral High School, Notre Dame Ace Academies and Crossroads Education. In addition to being an advisor for RHB, Konesco also sits on the advisory board of the Indianapolis Racers Youth Hockey Association.

“As a board member and investor, I’ve witnessed the incredible need for Perceivant’s software and predictive analytics in classrooms nationwide to improve student outcomes and enhance student engagement as well as make textbooks more affordable and relevant,” said Konesco. “Following a successful academic year, I’m thrilled to lead the company into a long and prosperous future by providing educators and students with technology that truly revolutionizes the higher education industry."
